Brain state shapes paired associative stimulation

In this collaboration with Alessio Avenanti (Unibo) group we studied how Premotor-motor paired associative stimulation (ccPAS) induced selective, lasting plasticity only when delivered during movement execution: when you stimulate matters as much as where.

Pragmatic deficits after stroke are not just a right-hemisphere matter (preprint)

In 99 stroke patients, left- and right-hemisphere lesions led to largely comparable pragmatic impairments, challenging the view of pragmatics as a right-hemisphere function. This work is part of a long-term collaboration with the group of [Valentina Bambini] and NEP Lab (IUSS Pavia), wonderfully led by S. Gastaldon.
